Fifteen years building healthcare organizations and the governance structures that hold them together. Founded a health system, scaled it to 13 locations and $30M revenue, led it through acquisition. Built and sold a billing integrity platform. Own specialty care portfolios inside a Fortune 25 payer while building the Corridor platform independently — three companies addressing gaps nobody was governing. I've sat in both chairs at the payer-provider table.
Experience
Corridor Platform:
Cadence ·
Curated ·
Caliber | Louisville, KY
- Created a structured governance layer for high-cost continuation therapies — a category with no existing external oversight. Three companies under the Corridor umbrella: Cadence (continuation), Curated (behavioral health episode routing), Caliber (pre-payment billing verification).
- Authored the Cadence Governance Standard (CGS v1.1): 8-section clinical framework defining when, how, and by whom a continuation therapy gets reassessed. 7 required triggers. Open standard, published for industry adoption.
- Three locked cohorts totaling 65,234 patients, including an NIH All of Us federal validation study. 29.1% flag rate converges with both commercial findings. 58–60% Review Influence Rate. $13.9M first-cycle savings value covering four drug classes.
- Designed the platform architecture and pricing model. Built all four sites as sole technical contributor (11,000+ lines on Cadence alone, single-file, no framework). Pharmacy Times article published (April 2026). Manuscripts submitted to Health Affairs and AJMC.
Carelon / Elevance Health | Louisville, KY
- Lead product strategy for six integrated specialty risk portfolios (oncology, MSK, maternity, CHF, autoimmune, dementia) within Carelon, the $71.7B health services arm of Elevance Health. Portfolios span 45M+ members and north of $75B in specialty medical spend. MSK book alone generates $2.3B in annual revenue spanning 30M managed lives.
- Manage a team of 23 across product, clinical integration, and risk operations. Six direct reports spanning Finance, Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Provider Partnerships.
- Authored and operationalized the enterprise Risk Playbook and PLM Transformation Playbook (50 internal interviews). Replaced a 60-page static document with an interactive governance tool now used for phase gating, program classification, and accountability tracking for every specialty book.
- Go/no-go authority on specialty risk investment, clinical integration, and network deployment. Decide what advances, what holds, and what gets cut. Report to the Chief Product Officer.
- Drove the MSK CCOC risk expansion business case ($48M+ projected operating gain, three-year horizon). Separately identified operating model gaps blocking maternity and CHF from reaching market.
ClearBill (acquired) | Remote
- Built a real-time billing integrity platform that audits claims before they reach the payor. AI + human QA layer between clinical delivery and financial accountability. Catches errors, overcharges, and code mismatches at the source.
- Pilot: 30K patients, 125K+ claims, 61% denial reduction, ~$9.2M returned. B2C-to-B2B platform with payer PEPM revenue model. Acquired.
GetWell Health System / North Clark / Kentucky Recovery / KMHC | KY, IN, GA, TX
- Founded Kentucky Mental Health Care (2012). Scaled to a 13-location health system across four states with 250+ employees and $30M+ in annual revenue at time of sale.
- Launched Kentucky Recovery (2018): state and federally licensed narcotic treatment program and SUD operation. Statewide coverage, 15,000+ patients per year.
- Established GetWell Health System, North Clark Community Hospital, and North Clark Medical Group (2021). Built a new regional hospital from the ground up with primary care, imaging, surgery, cardiology, neurology, and a full diagnostic lab.
- Led the full health system through acquisition. Diligence, transition planning, and post-close integration while remaining operational as CEO through handoff. Full P&L responsibility, dozens of payer contracts covering Medicaid, commercial, and Medicare lines. 200,000+ patients served combined at time of sale.
